A construction service-based company is seeking an Outside Sales Rep.

The Sales Representative is responsible to help generate sales. The main responsibilities of the Sales Representative revolve around the ability to network, build relationships with clients and potential clients to generate sales and potential sales. There is a wide range of duties in this position, including answering potential client questions, offering services, suggesting items, lending opinions, and providing Service information.

Success in this role is measured by hitting and exceeding monthly sales goals, consistently staying ahead of daily metrics, and handling rejection in stride, all in a team-focused environment.


  • Meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Negotiating all contracts with prospective clients
  • Helping determine pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiations
  • Coordinating sales efforts with the Marketing Department
  • Planning and visiting clients and potentials clients to find out their needs or promote our services
  • Answering client questions about agreements
  • Entering sales data into the system
  • Maintaining a datasheet of potential clients
  • Reaching out to customers through cold calling (50 calls per week)
  • Corresponding with potential customers through emails (50 per week)
  • Keeping abreast of best practices and promotional trends
  • Establishing, developing, and maintaining positive business and customer relationship
  • Studying competitors and strategizing on how the company can become a company of choice
  • Having proper email and phone etiquette
  • Scheduling 5 interviews per month


  • 1-3 years of experience in sales
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, persuasive influence
  • Self-confident, positive, outgoing, poised, lively, and persuasive communicator who relates well to others
  • Professionalism and motivation for prospecting and closing sales
  • Ability to work independently with excellent time management; must be able to multitask
  • Process-and-results-driven attitude
  • Ability to demonstrate both a consultative and aggressive selling style if need be, and ability to tailor companies value to respond to prospect’s specific pain points and challenges
  • A strong commitment to and history of achieving results
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced, high growth environment is a plus
