A leading P&C insurance brokerage and agency located in Monsey, NY is seeking a Client Service Representative for its Residential & Commercial lines department. The candidate is directly responsible for marketing, binding, and servicing policies for existing accounts in an allocated book of business.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing/servicing a book of business within the Property and Casualty industry
  • Ensuring timely renewal of accounts without lapse in coverage
  • Interacting with clients on a daily basis
  • Processing Certificate Requests, Policy Checking, Recommendations, Auto ID cards, etc.
  • Accepting and processing endorsement requests from policyholders
  • Providing recommendations made by the carrier to the policyholder and forwarding compliance to the carrier upon completion of the recommendations
  • Maintaining data integrity for the underwriting system.
  • Communicating with prospects, clients, and underwriters via telephone and e-mail
  • Presenting quotes and proposals for new business and renewals
  • Reviewing policies, identifying deficiencies, and determining the appropriate level of coverage
  • Maintaining relationships with Agency Producer & Underwriters at our direct carriers and wholesalers
  • Meeting all department servicing objectives including phone management, renewal management, file maintenance, documentation, etc.

Skills:

  • 2+ years of servicing property/casualty accounts for an Insurance Agency experience
  • Ability to manage difficult customer situations with professionalism and courtesy
  • Ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of the job
  • Familiarity with current regulatory requirements and product knowledge
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in office operations, computer software skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
